Cynthia Capey

Cynthia trained as a RE school teacher but spent most of her professional life as a member of staff at Suffolk College where she set up a Department for Religious Studies and laid the foundations for Suffolk Inter-Faith Resource.  Since she retired from the College over 20 years ago, she continued working for SIFRE in a voluntary capacity, and helped to establish the East of England Faiths Agency (EEFA) of which she is Managing Director.  She also set up the Suffolk Refugee Support.  Cynthia and David have a mixed-race family of 8 children and partners and have 13 grandchildren.  Cynthia is rooted in the Anglican Church tradition but is committed to living in openness to other stances and world views.
