Having come from an active Christian background, I became very taken with Buddhism, when serving in the forces in the Far East. In the mid seventies I became a student and devotee of a Spiritual Master, Sri Chimnoy, whose philosophy was essentially Bhakti Yoga, its goal being the realisation of the Divine through love, devotion and surrender. I run a small meditation group in Ipswich, am a trustee and member of the Ipswich Hindu Samaj and a Director of the East of England Faiths Agency. I have been involved in inter-faith activities for nearly 30 years, and regularly give talks to school and other groups, mainly on Hinduism. |
